This short book about a red car and a series of incidents surrounding it is an easy and entertaining read. The supernatural undertones that skulk behind the tale of various people's lives add a wonderful chill. The story flows well, with a delicious sense of foreboding that lurks beneath the normal. It touches on loss and recovery, too, adding some depth to the suspense. As the strange happenings and coincidences piled up, I felt shivers as I read.

It begins with the introduction of the Red Car and Don Virgilio, and right away the premise grabs your attention. That said, the story moves at quite a fast pace. Personally, I felt there was real potential to slow down and explore the material more deeply.
