Archer Cook's memoir hit me hard, right in my gut. Since I'm living in an abusive marriage, I've been curious how other people have handled it. I've come to the scary conclusion that the world comprises narcissists and their victims. But how do we become the victims? Is there something in our chemistry or experiences that makes us prone to abuse?

Archer Cook writes this memoir from his own personal experiences as an abused husband. His pain and suffering due to his now ex-wife’s abuse is as real as his PTSD anxiety stemming from his years as a former Air Force veteran. Cook tells his story to show that men can suffer in a relationship with someone with mental health issues and narcissistic behavior.
