I really enjoyed the first book in this series and was excited to read the prequel, set in the 1960’s with Leonora, Jaye’s grandmother, and her fated love, Rodger! We know from book one that Leonora was forced into an arranged marriage back in England in 1725, and when she fled in the night, she found a time portal in a cave and disappeared, never to be seen again.

Romance usually isn't my preferred genre, although I really enjoyed reading this Romance story, which is a crossover of romance and time travel. It involves a girl called Leonora from 18th century England who has just married escaping from home and travelling through a vortex to 1960s Bolivia. There she encounters a CIA agent by the name of Rodger. Despite their very different cultures and time periods, Leonora and Rodger fall in love.

Book 2 is a prequel and follows Lenora as she runs from Lucas on her wedding night and is thrown forward in time to 1963. Amber paints life in the 60s really well. The city and life feel real and Lenora is a real fish out of water having to deal with the situation. The love story is a love at first sight soul mates story and the erotic scenes are wonderful as always. However Lenora and Rodger make the story.
