Engaging Read
Having enjoyed both Trial Run and Duplicity of Power, I was looking forward to returning to the world of the Shadowers and reading Trial and Tribulation.
The story starts along the same timeline as 'Trial Run', but from Aahmes’ point of view (rather than Namid’s.) Trial and Tribulation is a complimentary book to Trial Run. Both are the same author's prequels to Duplicity of Power (Book One).
I have to write this review by mentioning the other two books above because it's much more relevant to express how I feel about it.
This book follows Aahmes, one of the main characters, and tells the story from his point of view with an intertwining timeline with Trial Run. It's interesting to get into his head and see what he is up to. This book offers more than its co ...more

A companion piece to Trial Run, with event taking place concurrently with that. In fact, at times, vieiwng the same events from Aahmes' perspective rather than Namid's. While not quite as compelling as Tria Run, it's an intriguing idea, which on the whole is executed really well. One thing that slightly bothered me throughout was the reason why Aahmes was so against Namid's success. Although that is explained in the main books, I felt it needed to appear here in the context of this short story,
