I am totally in awe of this novel. I did not know what to expect, but the story just captured me and would not let me go. This is daring, innovative and sad. I am not a fan of stories about illness, but this one was told in such beautiful language that I could not put it down. I like the use of more than one voice to tell the story. The inventiveness of using the voice of the disease to tell the story was brilliant and yet frightening.

Cancer as a character. Gorgeous, poetic prose, unforgettable characters, and aching sadness. I loved it!
