Getting into the book was both easy and difficult. It was easy because it got right down to it. The reader comes in DURING the story; no character building, backstory, or even a location set up! Jump right in with both feet. I like that.
It was difficult because I read this with the thought that here is a new author competing against well established authors (I had no idea she had written so many books at the time I began this one). So I read with a proverbial red pen in my hands. Even at the end ...more

The story is excellent with magic and a bunch of young girls at school you know kinda like Harry Potter. This is a great series for any age that likes to dip into the magical world with villains and curses to overcome. The narrator does and excellent job of making each character come alive. I definitely enjoyed listening to this one while working.
