I started reading this book because it was one of the only books by this author available at my library, and I just come back from visiting my sister in Quebec - the actual location of Three Pines. Louise Penny is, not surprisingly, very popular in Quebec, and I understand why.
This book is very engaging, and keeps the reader wanting more. You'll find yourself trying to figure out "who d'un-it" throughout, and the use of French terminology will prompt you to use your French/English dictionary, o

The deeper I go in the Chief Inspector Armand Gamache, the more I love them. This book so far is my favorite and holds you very tight until the last page.
Great story! A must read.
