I absolutely loved this book, as I have with this entire series so far. This book in particular was special in that we get a glimpse into the history of Quebec City and Quebec's founding father, Samuel de Champlain and the historical (and ongoing) divisiveness between the Quebequois and the Anglos. I have been reading them in order...and this is one of the best so far. I really like Louise Penny's characters...the plots, (which are very good) are almost secondary to my enjoyment of the books. ...more

Absolutely my favorite from this series. Three stories come together effortlessly. And you can just tell there is so much more to come!
