I tried reading this a bit ago and stopped about ten pages in but then I heard all the hype the audiobook was getting so I figured I would give it another try that way. The narrations were so well done. It probably the best executed audiobook I have read! Unfortunately, it did not save this book much. Somehow, through all the gore, smutt and romance, I felt nothing. Honestly I don’t know what else to say besides the fact that i’m glad i picked this back up again and have it a second chance! Trying this a second time, i listened to it as an audiobook instead of how i originally tried it through an ebook and was throughly impressed by the flow of the audio and how well it was narrated! I really enjoyed that it was a duet, and had some mild sound effects from each of the characters as they were narrated!! It was over ...more

I want to give my review a disclaimer that I did this on audio. I’m not an audio girly at all. This was me trying to be an audio girly lol maybe if I had read it physically it might have been different? But based on my experience, it just was “meh.” Sure it was cute and it had its moments but nothing really made me like swoon. The last maybe hour or so was the most emotional I felt the entire book. I did like the characters and the writing but yeah eh.
