I had high expectations. However, I thought the writing was a bit bland, did not care for the characters and the magical system and world-building was in the beginning difficult to understand.

oooookay.. not bad....not bad

i am slightly disappointed that the romance HAD to happen the way it did.... personally there is not enough material to justify its strength with one book alone... this keeps happening in books, i dont know if it's an editorial thing or not. we need more LONGING, more YEARNING!!!!!

did chuckle reading elsphet and the nightmares conversations. i adored elm and need more scenes of him. i hope the series gets darker.

that small rant aside, i did enjoy this book. not sure ...more

This is a HIGH 3, basically a 4.

I’d be lying if I said I this was easy to get into, buuuuut by the end of part one I was HOOKED, and I’m so glad I gave it a go! The last two chapters had be sobbing and that cliff hanger?!?
