let me start this review by saying - this book is hyped on tik tok in a way that i feel sets you up to think you are getting something else. this is not a love story! if you start this thinking you are getting a love story you will be bored and disappointed. i went into it at first thinking that but when it felt like it was moving slow someone told me to not be waiting for a love story and that’s when i was able to enjoy it and fall in love with the story. ultimately there is a lesson that is re ...more

this was more of a 4.5, not a 4. but i don’t have that option. i loved this book. but in the beginning, i really struggled getting into it. it drags on a lot in the beginning and doesn’t get to the point until about 1/4 of the way into the book, which is where i started falling in love with the story. i love the authors writing style. it’s extremely poetic. henry’s point of view is what kept me hooked, what made me want to finish the story.

First I just wanted to admire how absolutely beautiful this book is!! I stumbled upon the special edition version at Indigo and just had to get it!

After reading the book, unfortunately it just didn’t live up to my expectations of the book. Somewhere in the middle of the book I was bored and felt like it was the same thing over & over
