I’m actually shocked. Initially I was skeptical about this book because I’ve seen people love it and people saying it’s a copy. While I agree there are a lot of similarities, it also has its differences and for me personally I was hooked. I loved the chemistry and the twists within. I’m exited to read the novella which I’m hoping to start at the end of the week because I need more, even if I’ve seen some spoilers. This was so good for my first romantacy book and I’m excited for more.

I haven't read a dystopian book in quite awhile but this one is IT. The budding enemies to lovers romance was romancing, all the while there's a Hunger Games inspired set of trials happening. The tension and banter between Paedyn and Kai is unmatched. And the ending?! I need someone to help me find the patience to wait until July for Reckless because I just know it's going to be so dang good!

definitely in the minority 🥲 i felt like this was an exact copy of the hunger games with no creativity or individuality… as well as having too many dagger to the throat scenes (where there was supposed to be tension but the fmc and mmc definitely fell for each other within 100 pages) so sad cause i heard only good things about it! but!! i still want to read the sequel 💜
