This was an enjoyable book, it has all of my favorite tropes. So it should be a four or five star book for me. But it fell a little flat. The writing wasn’t my favorite, it definitely should have been edited more. And if I have to read about their eye colors one more time I may scream lol. But all in all, it was a fun read

Probably my least favorite read of 2024...
I don't understand why this book is so popular. Which sucks because I had really high expectations. First of all, the plot was very similar to Red Queen only mixed with The Hunger Games. It wasn't necessarily bad. I'm sure if I hadn't read the other two series, I would've enjoyed this plotwise. But now the similarities just annoyed me a little too much. Aside from that, the plot also dragged on and on and on. We could've done with just one trial. Or wit ...more

i loved this, but most of the time it just felt like the author pulled maybe too much reference from hunger games… but i love love love 🫶🏻

Basically the Hunger Games with superpowers added in to make the dystopian class warfare even spicier. Enjoyable for a YA romantasy.
