There are so many reviews out there that can do this book justice and my mind in still whirling over everything I just read. So I’m just going to say:

- I loved how the plot was well detained and very interesting without ever feeling overwhelming,
- I loved how Violet’s disability is portrayed. Some things she is unable to do they way others do but she finds her own way. Also, her being tiny is a part of it but it isn’t romanticized or presented in a “difference from other girls” mind set

WOW. I seriously could not love this book anymore. I was skeptical at first because of all the great reviews, but it did not disappoint in anyway possible. The best book i’ve ever read and I felt so attached to the characters and like I knew them in real life. All day I think about them after reading and I have no doubt i’ll think about them for a while after. The story was so enthralling and kept me on my toes with a plot twist that i did not see coming. Seriously the best book i’ve ever read!

Rebecca Yarros put drugs into this book because ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I was obsessed with it from the very first word. I need this book injected into my veins. I need the next book. I need it like Xaden needs Violet. This book series just became my entire personality and I’m going to be insufferable. Go read this book rn if you haven’t already!!!!!!

Took my time on this one cuz I just didn’t want it to end!!! This book has my heart. I feel like I don’t know what to do with myself now. I wish I could read it all over again without knowing what was going to happen. Can’t wait for Iron Flame!

the first 2/3 were 5 stars literally immaculate beautiful show stopping !!! and then it felt just slightly slower towards the end mostly because of how much i loved the training side over the actual fighting side but still absolutely adored

i felt the final battle was a little bit jumbled i couldn’t overly figure out what was happening where but that might have been because i had a few days of not reading but i was still a bit confused lol

I completely understand the hype of this book because… OMG. it took a little while for me to get into it at first with it being a new fantasy world and all. but once things started to get going in the riders quadrant I couldn’t put it down. I love the characters and the found family. and let’s definitely not forget about Xaden cause 🤤. can’t wait for Iron Flame, hoping to get it for Christmas!
