4.5 Wildly surprising, book group read. It’s a very dark romance thriller guns, gangs, steamy. A lot heavier in places than I was prepared for but it was a page turner because of its strong archetypal characters— I devoured it. A fairy tale for adults and so clever it will keep you guessing till the end. Besides trying to figure out whether the MC was a psychopath or traumatized. You’ll have to read it to find out. Be warned it touches on dark and difficult Themes. But what a ride.

Hooked is not a Peter Pan re-telling, but instead it's a (dark) re-imagination of the story. This was the first book I've ever read by Emily McIntire & it's been on my list for quite some time. I knew I'd get to it because I love a good Peter Pan inspired book!

An entertaining read, full of tension and with an interesting plot, it is a pity that the female protagonist had NO personality and allowed herself to be manipulated by everyone. It was nice to pass the time, but it was nothing very surprising.

I have mixed feelings about this one… we went from lovey dovey, to hate, back to lovey dovey… and then the book was over. I feel like the second half was super rushed and bam, it’s finished.
