I’ll start out this review with explains that I only recently, after a 10 year hiatus started reading/watching the thriller/mystery/crime genre again. There was several reasons for this long break, one of them being that I just had consumed so much of it was all starting to look the same. Another reason was the sickening use of sexual violence as a plot device, and how each year the violence kept getting more graphic and disgusting.

This book was great! I was invested in the mystery from the very beginning. I loved that nearly every other chapter there was a different main suspect because it really kept me guessing. Pip was an enjoyable main character even though she had virtually no self preservation skills. I’m really looking forward to reading the sequel to see what happens next!
