Read this for shelf indulgence book of the month.
This was really cute, I like Macy and Elliot!
Such a fun and simple read, I had similar feelings while reading emily henrys books.
Honestly it was quite predictable who's going to end up with whom, but still interesting enough.
I really didn't like Sean as a character though, he just felt very flat. Like he was a good dad and annoying & talented artist, but there wasn't more to him. The friendship dynamics were better though, I did really like Sabrin ...more

I love this book. I finished it on the toilet. I really enjoyed Elliot and Macy’s story and I thought it was very heartfelt. I recommend this if you like books mentioned in books.
Update: I think I’m going to bring this down to 4 ⭐️ just because the ending was kind of predictable and a little bit rushed to reach the perfect cliche of living the perfect happy ever after. I also struggle to remember what happened in the book but that may just be a “me problem.”

not a perfect 4 stars, probably a 3.8. this book really isn’t for everyone because so much of the relationship focus is when they’re from 14-18, so the audience isn’t really for people older than that. i found the writing really lovely and i would cry at that alone from time to time. i didn’t find this book as good as everyone says or better than the unhoneymooners, which i absolutely loved from christina lauren. but i still really loved the main characters and their story was just really really

Can I give a book more than five stars?? I have never loved a book more in my life. This book was so beautifully written. I loved the back-and-forth timeline that allowed me to fall in love with Macy and Elliot's younger selves. The authors take you on a journey of awkward childhood moments to a love so strong and genuine. Along with the past, the present chapters also held your attention. The whole time you're rooting for Elliot and at times you hate other characters but then realize they're ju

Beautiful book and beautiful characters. I loved it from beginning to end although I think the plot twist could have been more "wow", it was a book with very sweet and warm moments but I could also see a lot of character growth as I read past and present, something that I definitely I was entertained and loved a lot.

Second chance romance, childhood best friends to lovers - this book is full of some of my favorite tropes. There were parts that made me die laughing and parts made me feel so giddy. I will say I am slightly disappointed with a pivotal point in the story being glossed over. There were two heavy topics briefly mentioned and I feel like the book ended leaving me needing more.
