It honestly felt like this story was written for me. Addie is such a relatable, independent, and thoughtful character, and the way she talks about her love for books, films, and music—I adored all of it.

The book somehow manages to feel both vast and intimate, magical yet grounded in reality. The writing was beautiful, and I loved how tragically Addie’s story unfolded. The idea of being cursed to be forgotten by everyone you meet is such a powerful concept, and I can’t begin to imagine how lonely ...more

3.5 stars in this book, although I would’ve preferred to read it physically compared to an audiobook, I enjoyed it. It just took me long cause I’m working on an essay.

A este libro le tenía muchas expectativas porque me enamoré de Una magia más oscura y creí que me haría sentir lo mismo. Pero no fue así.

i almost didn’t finish this book. the first 300 or so chapters were really hard to read but the last 100 made it all worth it. the thing is though looking back, you need those hard to read 300 pages to make those 100 page make sense and actually become really worth in the end. i did enjoy it over all, but sometimes i really didn’t wanna finish this book

This book was so beautifully written. I enjoyed every minute of it, and read it within a week. It was stunning and the writing had me hooked on Addie’s story from beginning to end. The ending had me so furious that it was so open! However, it was an absolutely beautiful book and truly lived up to my expectations and exceeded them in every way.
