A stunning story with a protagonist I wanted to ghost. This book is absolutely gorgeous and lyrical. Didn’t catch me the first time I picked it up, but my reread? Oh yes to second chances. Schwab weaves a story that feels both timeless and deeply personal, idk but I felt a lot of heartbreak. And Luc, maybe I really am mostly attracted to red flags but wasn’t he so kyot. The atmosphere? 3.5 stars in this book, although I would’ve preferred to read it physically compared to an audiobook, I enjoyed it. It just took me long cause I’m working on an essay.

A este libro le tenía muchas expectativas porque me enamoré de Una magia más oscura y creí que me haría sentir lo mismo. Pero no fue así.

Very mixed feelings after finishing this book. I felt it started really strong, Adeline's story and world was very engaging and the mystery behind her 'curse' really pulled me in. However, I felt until the last 100 pages where things really ramped up the book was really dragging. i almost didn’t finish this book. the first 300 or so chapters were really hard to read but the last 100 made it all worth it. the thing is though looking back, you need those hard to read 300 pages to make those 100 page make sense and actually become really worth in the end. i did enjoy it over all, but sometimes i really didn’t wanna finish this book
