God, this book... What is there to say about it? So. much. I cant even begin to describe how addicting this book was and how well it was written. The plot, the characters, the settings. All of it fit in so, so well. The writing was beautiful and the ending had me sobbing. It's not everyday that I give a book five stars, but this one gets five stars. So much love for V.E. Schwab ...more

"What is a person if not the marks they leave behind"

Literally everything I wanted and more. Beautiful and unforgettable, truly a surreal experience. I loved so much of this book.

The only criticism i have is that it was very white and euro-centric like if I was an immortal, I would've gone everywhere and not only stayed in Europe.

La vida invisible de Addie LaRue es un libro del cual estaba aterrada por el nivel del hype que tiene en todos lados, ahora puedo decir que me gustó demasiado pero me dieron expectativas más altas.

Definitivamente es un libro increíble que está escrito de una forma maravillosa. La trama es muy buena y la forma en la que se ejecutó aún más, realmente la historia de Addie es fascinante y dolorosa al mismo tiempo

Ahora, la forma de narración tiene algo muy especial que te engancha, es un estilo de escritura súper lírico y poético que te deja maravillado por las sensaciones que te causa tan solo con una descripción, aunque no llega a sentirse exagerada.

La historia da brincos entre el 2014 (que sería el presente) y fechas salteadas a lo largo de los 300 años que vivió Addie pero cada historia te entretiene y tiene un propósito para la historia. Tanto los puntos de vistas de Addie y de Henry se sienten de una manera cercana a ti, pero los de él se me hacían más densos y pesados.

En general los 3 personajes (Addie, Henry y Luc) me encantaron y son super distintos entre sí, probablemente el que tiene más trasfondo es Luc pero tengo una relación de tira y afloja con él, pero es un muy buen villano. Henry me fascinó con su personalidad, ósea quedé enamorada desde el minuto uno y Addie es una mujer súper fuerte y decidida que pasó por muchos obstáculos a lo largo de su vida y sigue con su misma esencia.

Está historia me dejó demasiadas cosas en qué pensar y muchas enseñanzas, la más recalcable es que cada pequeña acción que hacemos vamos dejando una huella en el mundo, en la historia y en la vida de los demás. Tiene frases simplemente maravillosas que valen la pena marcar y momentos en la lectura que te llegan a quitar el aliento.

Ya hablando del final, creo que puede llegar a parecer un tanto abierto pero al mismo tiempo es redondo porque cierra todo muy bien de acuerdo al contexto de la última parte y viéndolo en retrospectiva es el único final adecuado para este libro.

Todo quién la conoce la olvida, pero yo no puedo pensar como puede ser posible olvidarme de Addie LaRue.

I finished this book for my Book Club today!

It’s an exciting story about a girl who is cursed to be forgotten, and how she lives her life to try to leave a mark. There is friendship, romance, and even a little suspense packed into this novel.

I do think it’s worth the read, but it isn’t a fast-paced page-turner like some others I’ve recently read, but it’s still a great well-written story that’s definitely worth reading.
