God, this book... What is there to say about it? So. much. I cant even begin to describe how addicting this book was and how well it was written. The plot, the characters, the settings. All of it fit in so, so well. The writing was beautiful and the ending had me sobbing. It's not everyday that I give a book five stars, but this one gets five stars. So much love for V.E. This book. I have no words. This book takes us along countries, centuries and memories. I am completely in awe of the author. Addie LaRue will always have a special place in my heart.

reread: it took me a while to return from this book because wow. this book made me realise that this is what books are supposed to make you feel, this is what literature is supposed to be, and maybe I've forgotten that somewhere. you may think I'm exaggerating but take a look for yourself. do not breeze past the pa

"What is a person if not the marks they leave behind"

Literally everything I wanted and more. Beautiful and unforgettable, truly a surreal experience. I loved so much of this book.

The only criticism i have is that it was very white and euro-centric like if I was an immortal, I would've gone everywhere and not only stayed in Europe.

beautiful Beautiful BEAUTIFUL🥲😭🥰💗

My heart SHATTERED while reading this slow-burn, atmospheric, cozy, and VERY well-written fantasy fiction...

I did have some problems with it though, for example, it was pretty unthinkable to comprehend how Addie did not travel around the world AT ALL in over 300 years she has been alive. As I get it you're lonely and all, people forget you and stuf

This was a beautiful book, the writing style was so poetic and really thought provoking and it helped to shape the story nicely. Also the plot is just super cool to begin with and I liked the flashbacks where we got the build-up of Addie’s life while also getting the present day. That being said the beginning was painfully slow and I probably would have DNF’ed it had I not heard wonderful things about it from a friend. Once we were introduced to the love interest Henry I was immediately engaged ...more

Honestly, not the exact book i thought it was going to be, but it ended even better than expected!! The book seemed to never stop the giving with new content and new twists along the way-no matter how small or BIG ;) The writing was beautiful in describing the loneliness Addie felt along her lonely life, but also the serenity of the adventures. The book never failed to connect the various motifs and was overall amazing, i highly recommend 🙌🙌

I want to start with the fact, that this book describes so many feeling, emotions and worries I have, but can’t put into words. The language of this book is beautiful - every word perfectly chosen so you can follow the lead of the story.

It is a book about time and the meaning of existence. It’s a book about bad choices and faith for a better tomorrow. It’s a book about forgetting and remembering; existing and living. It captures the time in different dimensions.

The story is full of surprises,

I finished this book for my Book Club today!

It’s an exciting story about a girl who is cursed to be forgotten, and how she lives her life to try to leave a mark. There is friendship, romance, and even a little suspense packed into this novel.

I do think it’s worth the read, but it isn’t a fast-paced page-turner like some others I’ve recently read, but it’s still a great well-written story that’s definitely worth reading.
