Definitely one of my favourite classics, very sweet and lovely. I love all of the characters; you really feel for all of them, and want them all to have the best in life, and I love those kinds of books so this was a great fit for me! Also I read it at the perfect time of year, there's so many wintery/Christmassy scenes in here, so I think that really helped! ...more

Its a beautiful and an extremely emotional book. This book literally gives you feels as you continue reading the pages. A pretty long book, but it was quite relaxing to read. I'd recommend this to everyone who's into classics.. ...more

another one that could've been 200 pages shorter...but i still enjoyed the 2nd half of this book! the first section was mainly character development & setting the pace. unfortunately, i didn't think this book went all that far. it was just kind of a plain tale of these 4 sisters, but i actually really enjoyed the 2nd half of the book once i had fully understood each of the characters and their depths (it took a while in my mind to fully develop each sister and the other characters).

kinda a 3.5 idk

this took me ages to read because I was bored a lot of the time but I did enjoy it. I do see what some people say about this book being really religiously preachy which wasn't my favorite but I do love these characters and I enjoyed reading the book, because I've seen the 1994 and 2019 movies, which I loved.

I’ve always been hesitant to read classics but this was the perfect classic! I loved the March sisters and all of the shenanigans and tales they got up to. I also really like Laurie and thought he was a great accompaniment to the March family.
