Definitely one of my favourite classics, very sweet and lovely. I love all of the characters; you really feel for all of them, and want them all to have the best in life, and I love those kinds of books so this was a great fit for me! Also I read it at the perfect time of year, there's so many wintery/Christmassy scenes in here, so I think that really helped!

Le daría 5 estrellas a "Mujercitas", pero la edición que leí tiene también "Aquellas mujercitas", y la secuela me pareció poco más que un constante sermón moral, la verdad. Tiene capítulos preciosos y con reflexiones muy importantes, sobre todo para la época, pero se ve empañado, por lo menos para mí, con el rumbo que toman las vidas de las cuatro hermanas y el por qué que nos da la autora para explicar cada uno.

this took me ages to read because I was bored a lot of the time but I did enjoy it. I do see what some people say about this book being really religiously preachy which wasn't my favorite but I do love these characters and I enjoyed reading the book, because I've seen the 1994 and 2019 movies, which I loved. ...more
