It is with inexplicable regret that I must say booktok has tricked me yet again. Even though I didn’t feel the same rage with this book as I felt with We Were Liars but it still let me down immensely. After going through my very detailed and thoughtful notes which mainly contained the words “what the fuck” after every line I highlighted, I have gathered all my thoughts so as to explain why I didn’t like this very popular book.

SUCH A GOOD BOOK!

Colleen Hoover is officially on my favorite author lists. She has some misses, but the ones I love I love so much. So many tears, emotions, twists, and turns, and difficult but necessary life lessons. Wow.

I still don’t recommend her for high school students because of some of the mature content, but it’s a great young adult/adult read! I can’t wait to read more of hers to catch up. I can’t believe I only found out about her this summer 💛

no se si decir que me decepcionó, tenia muchas expectativas y realmente esperaba llorar a mares en el final, y eso q lloro con casi cualquier libro, pero no pasó.
el primer amor es un tema super lindo y que creo que se manejo bastante bien
Representa muy bien lo que debe ser estar en una relación abusiva, lo que siente Lily es completamente entendible de principio a fin y creo que Coleen lo describe de forma muy inteligente

Fast paced story about lillys journey with abuse, friends, and family. Kind of sexual but great plot and ending that all works so well together. Lilly is an amazing character and wen through so much character development. I love atlas and got excited when he was mentioned. The last chapter was heartbreaking but inspiring. In the end i think she made the right choice. Great read overall and i cant wait to read again and annotate it.
