"we accept the love that we think we deserve" is probably the most relatable quote out of the many books i've read recently.

admittedly, i gave this a 3 star review my first read because i didn't fully comprehend it. after rereading for the second time it earned it's place in my 4 star reviews. although that doesn't go to say that i thought this was as great as everyone claimed it to be - it was mediocre writing.

good lord, i've cried so much, i hope i don't get an eye infection tomorrow.

to say that this was a good book would be an understatement.
charlie, i love you and you've told me so much about life, people and literally everything that i can't really explain in words. but thank you for telling me to put myself out there because i matter and that it's okay to feel things. ig i really needed that rn.

i just finished this book and i can now say i have a new favorite book. this book can really be for anybody, and it helps so much, being a teenager, and going through what charlie when through. he’s such a cute character and you really can’t help but fall in love with him. patrick is such an amazing character aswell, along with sam and all of their friends. they all have amazing personality’s and i would read this again for sure. 10/10 would recommend, especially for teenagers.

I finally finished it, I think this book was a little different from what I expected, I think it's very good but I must say that it touches on quite delicate and a bit dark topics.
I'm not sure if the way it's written is a spoiler so I'll mark it anyway.

esse livro me deu uma força que eu nao sabia que precisava pra ser protagonista da minha própria vida. quem vive diariamente com traumas sabe o quão difícil é conseguir protagonizar sua própria vida sem se esconder do passado. esse livro te relembra que seu passado vai estar sempre com você mas que isso não tem que te limitar de viver a própria vida. as vezes tudo é muito mais difícil do que deveria ser, mas você consegue. seus traumas não definem você, e você pode sim se sentir infinito.

I really loved this book. I would, however, prefer it to portray Charlie in a less child-like way. He was doing things that teenagers do, since he was a teenager but he was portrayed like he was too "immature" to do all these things. Had to read this for English and didn’t really enjoy it that much. Overall I felt the letter format wasn’t enough to hook my attention and lots of characters were only mediocrely developed.
