Wow that was terrible ***proceeds to read next book***
2.5 ⭐️ honestly? i hated this. it was dull, the characters were annoying, unrealistic, bland, and had no depth. it was fast paced though, and the ending was alright. the writing just wasn't very good... like at all.

I love Jenny Han, but this definitely isn't her best work. I was obsessed with these books when I was younger, don't get me wrong, so this got a point for the nostalgia, but rereading them now, I can definitely see a lot more issues.
Belly is one of the most annoying main characters. She is so incredibly self-centred, even at the end of the book when we find out about (view spoiler), she makes it all about her feelings.

So I am guilty of watching the series before reading the book but I loved both them equally. The show had so much drama and the book provided background for the drama. The book was a quick read for (considering I’m quite a slow reader) which was quite nice for a change. The writing was amazing and so descriptive. Fue una lectura ligera pero a mi parecer fue algo aburrida. En lo personal, no sentí química entre Conrad y Belly, o sea, no entiendo en qué momento fue que Conrad se enamoró de Belly porque nunca percibí esa vibra entre ellos. Las partes de la relación entre Belly y Cam me dieron igual.
