second time reading: i don’t know why i thought reading this book twice in the span on two weeks was a good idea but it was not. i am, once again, in tears.

first time reading: my heart is broken. if you see me drowning in a pool of my own tears, mind your fucking business!

Edit:
Raising my rating to 5 stars because my heart hurts when I realize this wasn't real.

This was just... Wow, I don't think I have the correct words to describe it.
This was nothing like I expected and everything I didn't know I wanted.

I get it know. Taylor Jenkins Reid is indeed on another level. The way she made me believe this story was not fiction... I don't think any other author has succeeded in that so far.

The characters were fleshed out so well. You liked them at times, but at other

At first I was a bit skeptical, not knowing where this book was going. I recently read The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and was in love with the writing style, so only excited to see what this book was going to give me.

I didn't like this as much as I liked her other book, but overall it was a book I couldn't put down after I really got into it.

This book was PHENOMENAL.

If you love the Almost Famous film or jamming to Rumours by Fleetwood Mac like me, you’ll literally love this book. It was so chaotic in the best way, so many things happened over the 401 pages of this book but I just couldn’t put it down. Such an enjoyable book and it’s rare that I read a book nowadays and have fun since a lot of books I read are mostly reflective and sometimes morbid so it felt great to read a fun book.

oh my goodness this was incredible :))

taylor Jenkins Reid has this remarkable way of creating these rich worlds out of Hollywood or the music scene that others would write about with frivolity

her voice as an author is precise and this book specifically just made me want to highlight and underline everything, until the whole thing was neon

daisy and billy and the interview writing style and everything and … gosh I loved it

one of the easiest 5 stars I’ve ever given 🌟

truly formidable

Enjoyable read, this format was new and fun. Although it did not give me the same impact as Malibu rising I still enjoyed it. I have to say the band and the albums felt very real especially having the song lyrics of the album on the last couple of pages. Made me forget this is a fictional band. Also loved the small Mick Riva/Malibu rising reference

If you ever read a Taylor Jenkins Reid book, you have to know that in the end you are going to be in pain. Not because the ending is sad, but because they are always so real. I felt the same think with Evelyn Hugo and now this one… It is always so easy to read and finish her books because the writing style is just so mesmerizing.

I love how realistic this universe is. I love how connected these books are. I can’t say enough about this book so I’m not going to say anything at all. That was just…

I absolutely loved this book.

Taylor Jenkins-Reid paints such a vivid picture of 70s Americana and I really liked the interview format. The conflict between the characters was really gripping and the tension between Billy and Daisy was so intense. I wish the ending was slightly longer as I had quite a lot of unanswered questions when I finished the book.

Overall, such a fun read!
