If I could re read this book for the first time every day, my life would be complete. Daisy Jones and The Six changed my perspective on so many different things. I will think about it forever. Maybe even after that too.

This is NOT a fictional story; this is real life. If you're looking for clichés and happy endings, let me tell you that this book is not for you. It's not about characters; it's about real people with genuine dreams, striving for fame, a perfect life, happiness... Even though they know they can't have it all, they are willing to risk everything to achieve it.

It's not about characters; it's about real people with genuine dreams, striving for fame, a perfect life, happiness... Even though they know they can't have it all, they are willing to risk everything to achieve it.

It is what I have always loved about music. Not the sounds or the crowds or the good times as much as the words - the emotions, and the stories, the truth - that you can let flow right out of your mouth.

This story is about laughter and tears, dreams and aspirations, bold steps and mistakes, communication and misunderstandings, admiration and envy, love and heartbreak. It's messy. It's about understanding that you don't have to be perfect to accomplish great things, but that doesn't mean you don't need to work on yourself and strive to achieve them.

I'm not perfect. I'll never be perfect. I don't expect anything to be perfect. But things don't have to be perfect to be strong.

It's about making mistakes and (un)learning from them, about falling down repeatedly and knowing that some people will always be there for you. And then, there are those who, even though they know you're struggling, do nothing at all.

It’s funny. At first, I think you start getting high to dull your emotions, to escape from them. But after a while you realize that the drugs are what are making your life untenable, they are actually what are heightening every emotion you have. It’s making your heartbreak harder, your good times higher. So coming down really does start to feel like rediscovering sanity. And when you rediscover your sanity, it’s only a matter of time before you start to get an inkling of why you wanted to escape it in the first place.

To be honest, after reading this book, all you can do is cry. Like I said, it's real life—and it hurts.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. I thought the format was creative and enticing in the same way Reid’s other novels have been. I loved seeing the way the universe of historical figures are entwined, with the slight nod to Mick Riva.

I felt like this book did a fantastic job at depicting the different types of relationships people can have with substances and addiction, the similarities between love and addiction, and overall that feeling that maybe you can stay clean or resist for a while but ...more

Se você fosse a um show de Daisy Jones & The Six achando que os dois se odiavam, ia conseguir encontrar alguma evidência disso. E se achasse que rolava alguma outra coisa entre eles, que aquele ódio era só de fachada, também encontraria alguma evidência disso.
