Taylor Jenkins Reid does it again with yet another stunning historical fiction novel. Daisy Jones was a stunningly complex, magnetic, and wonderfully flawed character. She was a shitty mess, but she never took anyone's bullshit and everyone (including myself) loved her liveliness. I wish people also talked more about Camilla. She is the real hero in this story. This is NOT a fictional story; this is real life. If you're looking for clichés and happy endings, let me tell you that this book is not for you. It's not about characters; it's about real people with genuine dreams, striving for fame, a perfect life, happiness... Even though they know they can't have it all, they are willing to risk everything to achieve it.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. I thought the format was creative and enticing in the same way Reid’s other novels have been. I loved seeing the way the universe of historical figures are entwined, with the slight nod to Mick Riva.

I felt like this book did a fantastic job at depicting the different types of relationships people can have with substances and addiction, the similarities between love and addiction, and overall that feeling that maybe you can stay clean or resist for a while but

Se você fosse a um show de Daisy Jones & The Six achando que os dois se odiavam, ia conseguir encontrar alguma evidência disso. E se achasse que rolava alguma outra coisa entre eles, que aquele ódio era só de fachada, também encontraria alguma evidência disso.
