Did everyone told me I would love this book? Yes, yes they did. Did everyone told me this was an absolute masterpiece? Yes, yes they did. Did this book somehow surpassed my exaggeratedly high expectations? Yes, it most certainly did.

I can´t even begin to explain how much I adored this book. Evelyn´ «You do not know how fast you´ve been running, how hard you have been working, how truly exhausted you are, until someone stands behind you and says, "It´s okay, you can fall down now. I´ll catch you.»

Did everyone told me I would love this book? Yes, yes they did. Did everyone told me this was an absolute masterpiece? Yes, yes they did. Did this book somehow surpassed my exaggeratedly high expectations? Yes, it most certainly did.

I can´t even begin to explain how much I adored this book. Evelyn´s story is messy and ugly and not a fun happy story in any way but it feels so real (I found myself wanting to watch her movies so badly even though I knew they weren´t real).

The characters, their relationships, their problems and how they dealt with them, it all felt like something that could easily happen. These characters aren´t perfect and they make a ton of mistakes but that´s what makes them so real to the reader. I found myself exasperated because I wanted to hate them but I just couldn´t because they were like real people and real people make mistakes and screw up. Both the platonic and romantic relationships were absolutely amazingly written and they made me feel so so much (I found myself sobbing so many times because of this book) and I have to say Evelyn and Harry´s relationship is probably one of my all time favorite ones that I´ve read.
«When you realize you can tell someone your truth, when you can show yourself to them, when you stand in front of them bare and their response is "You´re safe with me"- that´s intimacy.»

Also I feel like I need to talk about how absolutely extraordinary the writing is. This book was so beautifully written and the pace was absolutely perfect and all the twists of the story were great and truly surprised me.

This is one of those books where you truly cant put down until it’s finished. “The devastating luxury of panic” is a perfect way of describing this book.

"Hasta el día de hoy, me cuesta definir quién fue Evelyn y el impacto que tuvo en mí."

No sé cómo comenzar esto, estoy sin palabras y con un nudo de pensamientos en mi cabeza y de emociones en mi ser. Puedo empezar diciendo que fue una maravillosa lectura, muy diferente a todo y muy bien hecha. Lo considero un libro que todo el mundo debería de leer antes de morir.
