“I spent half my time loving her and the other half hiding how much I loved her"
if only Evelyn had been truly able to live her life with Celia, perhaps she wouldn't have had so many regrets. then again, this is an accurate depiction of what our society both was and still is to an extent today. my heart goes out to everyone who felt like they had to live a life in secret then and for those that feel like they need to in the present. sending love <3 ...more

This is one of those books where you truly cant put down until it’s finished. “The devastating luxury of panic” is a perfect way of describing this book.
