This has been a really hard book for me to rate. I keep moving from 3 stars to 4 and back again depending on my mood. There are some wonderful things in this book. There are also some things that are structurally frustrating. I also think this book suffered a bit because I read it at the same time I was reading Chuck Wendig's wonderful Blackbirds.
