I really wanted to like this book. I really did. I had high expectations considering this book is often compared to If We Were Villains which I adored.

But this is one of the most tedious books I’ve ever read. It felt so slow and so long. Every time I picked it up I found myself checking how many pages I had left. this is literally the best book i’ve ever read in my intire life.
the amount of quotes that i want tattooed on my body… i have no words, i’m pretty sure that i will NEVER read something so genius like this in the rest of my life.

This book is art and such an entertaining read. This is definitely a modern classic, and the pages are filled with morally gray characters who are pretentious in everything they do. But that ending plot twist?? Gagged me.

i had such high hopes for this and i was incredibly disappointed. this book was so slow and very boring, made even worse by the 100-page-long chapters. i appreciated the section breaks but 80% of them included the most irrelevant information that was never brought up again and did nothing but take up space in the book. i feel like the only good thing about this book was the prologue. it was interesting and eye-catching, so i thought the rest of the book would be good too, but it ended up draggin ...more
