With the buzz around this latest memoir release from the author behind Eat, Pray, Love, I took a chance at snagging my library's copy right after it was catalogued. I finished it pretty quickly. I give Gilbert credit for writing this book. I think it's a really good example of writing with vulnerability and truth, while still maintaining some boundaries for yourself. Elizabeth Gilbert’s first memoir in ten years holds no punches. It’s a lesson in extreme vulnerability while still maintaining boundaries. Readers who understand the struggle of addiction, of any kind, or who love those who struggle will find Gilbert’s book to be relatable, real, and inspiring.
