The Teller of Small Fortunes by Julie Leong is the fantasy book I've been waiting for for some time. Set in a landscape both familiar and magical, it centers on the travels of a young woman telling fortunes in each town she passes through, although a greater power is brewing within her. The reader can connect with her feelings of isolation and loneliness but also her optimism and cheerfulness. I definitely fell in love with this story and I hope there will be more from this author in the future!
