From the Bookshelf of La Crescent Public Library…

[close] This was our library book club's February 2025 read and everyone enjoyed this contemporary book about a small town stuck in the past. We had the best conversation around all the quirky characters and what it would truly be like to live in a place whose bookstore (or library) only featured older titles like the one Maggie starts working for.

The clever programs she comes up with made the book a delight to read and we all came up with some creative examples of classics we'd like to rewrite or adapt!
