Love Marcie Rendon's books. I really enjoyed her afterword in this book explaining the idea behind this novel and the news stories that influenced its development. I so appreciate authors who create timely and real situations in their books to get readers to think, yet can do so without alienating them.

This was one of the library's November book club picks and everyone thought it was such a quick read. They liked that there weren't too many characters, and those that were in the book felt fleshed out and very real, especially the protagonist Cash. The book is well-paced, and as it neared the end, readers couldn't put it down!
