We had a lively discussion about the author's background and the protagonist of this true crime story. Most of our readers disliked everyone in the book, but couldn't put the book down! It did draw them into a world seldom examined - the fine arts world for certain, but also security measures, who is the real victim, does the punishment fit the crime?

With a local art museum nearby that holds some remarkable items inside, we had a very interesting discussion about the topics and outcome of The Art Thief.
