[close] Like many of us, young Ezra Edmond was inspired by the beloved PBS show Reading Rainbow (1983-2006), hosted by LeVar Burton. Through this sweet picture book, Ezra shares how Reading Rainbow instilled in him a love of reading, and the real-life moment he met LeVar in person. They take a photo together, and when he brings that picture to school, he learns that his classmates also know LeVar from TV.

This book is perfect for everyone, including the adults who grew up watching Reading Rainbow, and is especially great for a family readaloud/storytime. In the 20+ years that Reading Rainbow aired, LeVar Burton inspired a generation of children who grew up to love books. This story brings his legacy to the next generation of young readers.
