[close] An incredible graphic novel, well-written and beautifully illustrated. Author John B. Allen, known professionally as MrBallen, is a retired Navy SEAL-turned professional storyteller, known for sharing true strange, dark & mysterious content on his YouTube channel and podcasts.

When I first started watching MrBallen's channel, I was immediately drawn to his incredible storytelling skills. Instead of simply laying out a timeline or stating facts of any given true-crime case, paranormal encounter, or supernatural experience, he brings the characters to life, reminding listeners and viewers that the victims were real people with lives and stories worth remembering. This graphic novel brings these stories to life in a different format.

Featuring several remastered stories from his YouTube videos, and a few brand-new ones specific to the book, this graphic novel feels as though MrBallen is still right there, telling you a spooky story. So, if you enjoy ghost stories or unsolved mysteries (or, as MrBallen states in his YouTube video introductions, "If you're a fan of the strange, dark, and mysterious told in story format"), this graphic novel is perfect for you. I cannot recommend this book enough.
