This is a title that is not my normal reading pick, but was recommended for a book club selection and I really enjoyed it. I highly recommend the audiobook as the narrator was wonderful. The magical realism element is what hooked me early on, and the charming characters and Southern accents kept me going.

Quite often the books chosen for book clubs have a lot of "meat" to them because there's more to discuss then. This title was recommended by a library book club member, and the group found it nice to read a selection where there was a happy ending when finished. They've now made it a mandate of the library book club to have AT LEAST one of those/year. LOL

Sweet, small town story with a touch of magical realism. Just enough drama and a some fun matchmaking happening to keep me interested all the way through.
