One of the most beautiful books I've read. This prose style essay compilation is a patchwork of memories and dreams inspired by plants and animals - what they remind us of, how connected we are, and all that they can teach us.

There were simply too many stunningly beautiful lines in this book for me to pick favorites and share. You just need to check it out and read it for yourself. It's gorgeous, and illustrated too! Love, love, loved it!

Picked up after seeing it advertised at our neighbor library, Winona, who is reading this book for a community read and collaboration with the Minnesota Marine Arts Museum, where you can find the illustrator's work on display.

Written by a poet, so it's language is incredibly lyrical and lovely, World of Wonders is a memoir of memories inspired by and from the author's favorite animals and plants.
