I loved this book and learned so much about Cuba and its history. I had no idea how vast the number of refugees was or the wide diaspora of where they live/are stranded.
The book alternates points of view between two teens, one privileged but displaced due to a fire - Dariel, the other working class and forced to flee due to a hurricane - Soleida.
