A delightful and charming book! For fans of The House in the Cerulean Sea. It's similar in its charming voice and storytelling, a little bit of romance with a curmudgeon at its center, and kids being funny kids waiting for a world where the adults around them accept them for who they are.
Highly recommend. Really enjoyed the audio version of this story. A little predictable in the ending, but loved it all the same. ...more

What a charming book! A definite feel good story.
Centering on an introverted witch who keeps to herself per witchy rules, Mika, suddenly finds herself leaving home for a teaching position in a hidden house harboring three young witches. Nothing is quite as it appears, and trust between everyone will be tested. Still, if they can weather the storms ahead, they may just all find the family they've been looking for.
