Blue-Skinned Gods was a whirlwind of a read, getting caught up in the stories that make up our life. Kalki is a boy with blue skin. His parents believe he is the Hindu god, Vishnu, reincarnated. At the ashram where his family works, Kalki must complete three trials of healing to prove he is a god.

What follows is a deep examination of self, the stories we're raised on, the power of belief, and the betrayal of lies. How do we move forward again, and how do we discern what is right and wrong?

I LOVED this story. I was completely swept away by it. What a fascinating concept that whisked me away to an Indian ashram where a young boy grows up being the color blue after being bitten by a snake. His parents believe he is the reincarnated god, Vishnu, sent to heal the world. Kalki, the boy, is raised with strict practices and repeatedly told his doubt or his misdeeds affect the health of those around him and that he must believe with all his being in his future as a god.
