[close] Here's another title I wanted to check if it lived up to the hype or not and boy, readers were NOT kidding when they say there's a twist ending!

It's a love triangle at its core, but with a spin. Louise is a secretary at a psychologist's office. One night, she meets a man who is charming and handsome and they kiss, but then he leaves. The next day, she learns this man, David, is her new boss... and that he's married. The two of them agree the previous night was a fluke and it'll never happen again. Until it does.

Around the same time, Louise bumps into Adele, David's wife, and the two of them become friends - Adele unknowing about the affair and Louise not mentioning to David who her new friend is.

The chapters bounce back and forth between Louise and Adele's perspectives. A psychological thriller, this book had me simultaneously rooting for, wanting to protect, and also hoping they get what's coming to them with nearly every character! I had no idea who to trust as the author wove us along in the story.

At the risk of spoilers, I won't talk about the ending. I'll just say you have to read it for yourself (or I suppose watch the Netflix series) to see what fascinating thing the author added in. Would make for an interesting book club discussion.
