[close] They say not to judge a book by its cover, but The Dinner List by Rebecca Serle really caught my eye because of its cover -- bright, bold yellow, my favorite color. Though it's outside the genres I usually read, I truly enjoyed this funny, emotional, romantic story.

We've all been asked at some point, who are the five people, living or dead, that we'd like to have dinner with. Among Sabrina's choices are her best friend, three significant people from her past, and a sassy Audrey Hepburn. As the conversation begins and the story flows back and forth between Sabrina's birthday dinner and the past events that led her to that moment, it becomes clear why the six of them have really been gathered together.

I recommend this book for anyone who likes romance. It will make you bawl your eyes out at some moments, will make you laugh at others, and overall is a truly enjoyable book.
