The newest Jodi Picoult book tackles the topic of covid in its early days. A young engaged couple is forced to change plans when the virus shuts everything down. One is a doctor working on the frontlines and the other ends up quarantined while abroad by herself.

Without giving away any spoilers, there's a dramatic twist that occurs 3/4ths of the way in the book, which is where I found it most interesting.

I picked up Jodi Picoult's newest book, which I'd heard was about the early days of Covid.

Admittedly, I struggled with this one because two years later, we're still dealing with the coronavirus pandemic and the rise of the omicron variant, so reading this book about the early days where everything was unknown and closing down was almost triggering. My recommendation is that if you're looking for a book to read as an escapism source, this is probably not the book for you! I did struggle to finis

So Diana goes alone and her world changes. Lost in two worlds Diana tries to determine what is reality and what is just a dream. Picoult leads the reader back to the COVID epidemic when so many people’s worlds were changed forever.
