I really loved everything about this book. It exceeded my expectations. I have had it on my shelf since like November, and I’m sad I’ve put it off for so long.

Even though it is a Romeo and Juliette retelling, it had so many of its own elements. I loved that it was about rival gangs in Shang Hai. I always love getting bits and pieces of other cultures.

There was romance in the book, but it could have been fine without it. Juliette was a strong female lead. In short, she was a badass and I ate th ...more
