ms charlotte brontë slayed. the writing was immaculate, managing to keep me on my toes throughout the entire novel. although the book is big in terms of length, it did a splendid job keeping the reader hooked. ‘jane eyre’ follows a gothic 19th century love story, depicted in an eery, entrancing way, while battling patriotic ideals, with a hint of pretentiousness.
