why did nobody tell me to read this book? (everybody did…) definitely one of my FAV CLASSICS OF ALL TIME!!!
ms charlotte brontë slayed. the writing was immaculate, managing to keep me on my toes throughout the entire novel. although the book is big in terms of length, it did a splendid job keeping the reader hooked. ‘jane eyre’ follows a gothic 19th century love story, depicted in an eery, entrancing way, while battling patriotic ideals, with a hint of pretentiousness.

since this is a classic book, i was not expecting to love it this much but i do! the language wasn't impossible to understand, and the plot was just amazing. i loved this book so much and it honestly is something that i will re-read over and over again. ...more
