Ok. Well...I should have expected a family scandal & an elopement - doesn't it happen in every Austen book?
But come on!
Edmund? Ugh.
Those two.
So disturbing that their union was described as natural & fitting since his opinions had 'formed her young mind since 10yrs of age'
Gross! That sounds like a reason NOT to marry someone!
I would have been far happier if she & Crawford had married (though not after Mariah!) because they each challenged the other. That's the path to growth!
